Katchafire, Aaradhna, Sons of Zion, Kora katkora   Katchafire have spent 2016 as they do most years touring the globe, taking our homespun Maori roots reggae to the world. The Burn It Down tour saw the band tour extensively throughout Australia, Europe, The States and Canada, once again spending more of 2016 out of the country than at home. Nominated for four 2016 Vodafone NZ Music Awards - Our leading lady of Pacific Soul, Aaradhna joins the caravan this year. Signed to Republic Records at the age of 29, Aaradhna has also extensively toured the US with the likes of the screaming eagle of soul Charles Bradley. This summer she calls NZ home and is packing her chart-topping new album - Brown Girl and her suitcase of hits for summer tour. She’s also bringing her band on the bus featuring some of NZ’s top players - Jeremy Toy & Chip Matthews from the Opensouls and The Tornadoes and Tom Broome from Homebrew + Esther Stevens and The Means. All aboard - Sons of Zion, they may be the kids on tour but with their fusion of reggae, heavy rock, dub and funk the Sons Of Zion know how to captivate audiences. They too have spent the year playing to audiences around the globe, including a recent tour in Hawaii, shows in Australia and their Hungover Tour of the North Island. With a new album on the way, you can guarantee Sons of Zion will be packing new songs including their latest singles Now and Hungover as well as all their hits you know and love. Plus joined sometimes by Kora... As one of New Zealand’s best-known live bands, Kora are confident both onstage and in the recording studio, and with good reason - they have (so far) claimed a platinum EP, a double platinum debut album, and two of their albums peaking at #1 on the NZ chart. Their sound straddles multiple genres, from reggae to metal, soul, and funk; but at their core, Kora’s unique and electric sound fits no pigeonhole. With a new track and video just released, we welcome Kora aboard on the bus. Next stop summer!

Dragon, Mi-Sex and The Feelers clash2 Get ready to rumble:   Clash of the Titans is back!   Dragon, Mi-Sex and The Feelers will go head-to- head in eight rip-roaring rounds of rock ‘n’ roll!   It’s the stuff made of legends - the biggest and bloodiest battle of the bands in the southern hemisphere. It is Clash of the Titans. And it’s back!   Now in its third year, Clash of the Titans has rightfully gouged out a reputation as being one of the most epic tours in the summer music calendar.   And in 2017, three of the biggest names in Australasian music – Dragon, Mi-Sex and The Feelers - will go head-to- head, thrashing it out in some of New Zealand’s most iconic live venues.   Dragon, Mi-Sex and The Feelers are forces to be reckoned with each in their own right. But together, under the same roof and battling it out back-to- back on the same stage, audiences across the country can expect a night of absolute rock ‘n’ roll mayhem.   Returning after their last Clash of the Titans stoush in 2015, The Feelers - led by founding members James Reid and Hamish Gee – are returning to the ring in 2017. With countless hits (‘Larger Than Life’, ‘Venus’, ‘Fishing For Lisa’ and ‘Pressure Man’ and more) under their belt and a reputation as a live act of epic proportions, The Feelers are guaranteed to fight to the bitter end.   After slaying on last year’s tour, the mighty Dragon are once again readying themselves to re-join the battle. Todd Hunter remains at the helm of this legendary band, which is behind some of New Zealand and Australia’s most memorable anthems, from ‘April Sun in Cuba’ and ‘Rain’ to ‘Are You Old Enough’ and ‘Still In Love With You’, Dragon is a band of survivors and they’ll be taking no prisoners.   The pioneers of new wave, Mi-Sex, are also returning to prove why they’re still considered one of the most important bands in Australasian music history. Now led by the enigmatic Steve Balbi, and armed with their biggest hits, from ‘Computer Games’ and ‘Blue Day’ to ‘People’, they’ll also unleash new material from their just-released album, NOT FROM HERE. Brace yourself for a full-on sonic assault like only Mi-Sex can deliver.   You have been warned - start your endurance training now! Clash of the Titans is not for the faint-hearted. But you are guaranteed a rip-roaring night of nostalgia and good old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll this summer. Tickets on sale from Ticketmaster and outlets from 12pm on Tuesday October 25 NEW YEARS EVE
