  • Coroglen Tavern 1937 Tairua Whitianga Road Coroglen, Waikato, 3591 New Zealand (map)

December 28 will see the second-year return of the Coromandel’s electronic night out, CLUB FESTIVUS.

Come enjoy the Coroglen Tavern hospitality while dancing the night away to some of the world's best electronic dance acts.

Featuring BONOBO (DJ SET), DJ SEINFELD, BARRY CAN'T SWIM, PRETTY GIRL and PEACH MILK.

BONOBO (DJ SET)
One of the most legendary names in electronic music, three-time Grammy-nominated Si Green aka Bonobo will arrive in NZ off the back of his monster 2022 album, Fragments. Known for sophisticated compositions and club-focused arrangements that incorporate influences of everything from jazz and folk to soul, house and UK garage, expect a dancefloor-angled set that shows the Coromandel how it’s truly done.

DJ SEINFELD
Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld makes his Aotearoa debut this December, arriving much like Bonobo after the release of his own hugely successful album, 2021’s Mirrors. Much of Seinfeld’s previous work was characterised by lo-fi production techniques, but this new album sees his music come into focus with thumping house beats, sunny synth pads, reflective piano melodies, and heart-tugging vocal samples.

BARRY CAN’T SWIM
Barry Can’t Swim has become one of the fastest rising names out of the UK since arriving on the scene in 2020. Signed to tastemaker record label Ninja Tune, Barry was picked as one of Billboard’s “10 Dance Artists to Watch in 2022”, had a track included in Pete Tong’s “Top 20 of 2021”, and was tipped as one of The Blessed Madonna’s “Ones to Watch for 2022”. Classically trained from a young age, Barry is known for his trademark blend of skillfully crafted electronic music mixed with jazz inspired strings and keys, lush textures, blissed-out vocal samples and euphoric, orchestral elements.

PRETTY GIRL
Pretty Girl- a producer and singer from Naarm/Melbourne, makes emotionally loaded music to cry or dance to. One of Naarm’s rising stars is Pretty Girl, a producer with a live show that packs an emotional punch. PG found her calling in dance music early on, after spending her teen years making soft bedroom-pop on her school laptop with Audacity and Garageband. Naarm’s prolific club scene provided fertile ground for PG to develop her sound in her early twenties, as she honed her skills with Ableton Live, analog gear, and sound design, pairing everything with her delicate vocals. Now PG’s sound revolves around a sentient and warm-blooded breed of dance music that can stir a dance floor as much as it can soundtrack a walk home.

PEACH MILK
Producer and DJ based in Tāmaki Makaurau, New Zealand. Her DJ sets display broad influences, ranging from the dreamy and relaxed areas of House music to driving, percussive Techno, Breaks and everything in between.
